Turn Leaves into Mulch

The benefits of leaves, leaves hold moisture, they block sunshine from harmful weeds, they add nutrients to the soil...natures mulch!  While many people remove leaves from their yard, its better to transfer to someplace useful, say a flowerbed or garden.  You can see in the picture we are using some over our freshly planted soil.

Remember, Figner llc offers leaf and brush cleanup services but we encourage clients to leave this valuable fertilizer on-site. Or for an additional fee we can mulch and spread where desired.

Renewable Energy Now Generates More Power Than Nuclear

In the last several years, i've been very fascinated with renewable fuels, even though most are a lot of hooey, there are some sources out there that make sense. Below, an interesting article about renewable energy overtaking Nuclear for total US consumption. With renewable energy a total of 14.4% for 2011, and Nuclear at 10.6%.

The main provider for renewable energy is Hydropower (Dams), and the second being Biomass. What's interesting about Biomass is that it produces as much if not more Carbon Monoxide and NOx gasses than Coal or Natural gas sources. Some more information below:
